If your business recently upgraded to version 24H2 of Windows 11, you may have come across an annoying issue in File Explorer.

File Explorer, the familiar tool for browsing files and folders, typically works smoothly. However, some users have reported problems with the “See more” menu following the update.

This menu, represented by three dots, normally appears below your mouse cursor, offering options like “Select All” or “View Properties.” But due to a bug, the menu unexpectedly jumps to the top of the screen, often disappearing entirely. For those using File Explorer in full-screen mode, some menu options may not even show up.

It’s definitely frustrating.

Fortunately, there’s an easy solution: Switch File Explorer to windowed mode instead of full-screen. To do this, click the square icon in the top-right corner (next to the “X” used to close it). Once in windowed mode, you can resize the File Explorer window, making the “See more” menu accessible again, even if it behaves oddly.

The good news? Microsoft is aware of this glitch and is actively working on a solution.

Bugs like these can disrupt productivity when you’re trying to focus on work.
