The new Outlook for Windows is here, bringing a modern design, intelligent features, and enhanced functionality to your email experience. With a simplified interface and improved capabilities, you can tailor it to your workflow and enjoy a more streamlined email and calendar management system.

How to Get Started

Switching from Classic Outlook

  1. Look for the “Try the new Outlook” toggle in the upper right corner of the classic Outlook app.
  2. Click the toggle to download and launch the new Outlook.
  3. Sign in with your default Microsoft account or manually enter your login details.
  4. Import settings from classic Outlook or configure them manually.

Switching from Windows Mail & Calendar

  • A toggle button will appear in the upper right of the Mail app in Windows 10/11.
  • Click “Try the new Outlook” to download and switch to the updated version.

Tip: You can always switch back to Classic Outlook by turning off the toggle.

Known Limitations

  • Limited Public Folder Support – If you rely on creating, modifying, or deleting public folders, continue using Classic Outlook.
  • Offline Access Coming Soon – The new Outlook currently requires an internet connection.
  • PST File Support – While available, it has limited capabilities in the new Outlook.
